Gift multiplier opportunities

Our Mountain Home Food Basket has a great opportunity thru the Arkansas Community Foundation that increases every donation by 50%.  It’s simple, just make a tax deductible donation via their web site and the Arkansas Regional Community Foundation will match one dollar for every two dollars contributed.  The web site and instructions to donate are below.

The need has never been greater.  The Food Basket is experiencing demand for food unlike anything in our 20 year history.  Not too many years ago we fed about 300 people per month with 7 or 8 new applications for food each month.  In October we fed 749 people and that number grew to 888 in November.  New applications were 55 in October and 75 in November.

If you would like to contribute please sign on to ARCF’s web site as soon after December 14^th as possible.  Checks can also be mailed to the Food Basket at 1130 Hwy. 62 West in Mt. Home.  Remember the “One dollar for two” offer ends December 20^th.  Thank you very much. We hope you, your family and friends have a Very Happy Holiday and Great 2009.

The Mountain Home Food Basket - How to donate:  It’s Easy!

1. Go to www.arcf.org
2. On the home page you will see a red “Stop” button.  Click on it to be directed to the online giving page.
3. The first option on the online form is a dropdown list where you can choose the org you want to support.  They are listed by county.  Select “Baxter and the Mt. Home Food Basket.
4. Fill in the contact information and hit “Submit”
5. You will be directed to a secure server to complete the credit card part of the transaction.

At checkout, tell the cashier that you wish to help Feed The Hungry.  The cashier will add $9.95 to your bill and that amount, plus a 10% override will be donated to the Mountain Home Food Basket.  Almost painless!
