FUMC - Missions

 

First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home is involved in mission work here in our local community, in Arkansas, in the United States, and worldwide.

In the Mountain Home area: Thanksgiving Food Baskets 145 baskets and 180 hams provided for
families in 2006
  School back-pack food programs Missions Committee and United Methodise Women
provide food back-packs for almost 200 children
each week in the Mountain Home School District
  Christian Clinic This clinic serves thousands of area residents who have
no other access to medical facilities/treatment.
Area medical practitioners volunteer services.
The clinic provides free medicines, critical dental and eye care, a diabetes care/counseling program and many other services.
  Christian Family Home Builders Helping to build shelter for area residents who are committed Christians, and who are in need.
  Local Food Bank Support for food/sundry items needed, manning the food bank facility on a rotating basis, etc.
