Thanksgiving Food Baskets

400 baskets and with hams provided for families in 2008

School Back-pack Food Programs  

Missions Committee and United Methodist Women provide food back-packs for almost 200 children each week in the Mountain Home School District 

Christian Clinic

This clinic serves thousands of area residents who haveno other access to medical facilities/treatment.  Area medical practitioners and clergy volunteer services. The clinic provides free medicines, critical dental and eye care, a diabetes care/counseling program and many other services.

Christian Family Home Builders

Helping to build shelter for area residents who are committed Christians, and who are in need.

Local Food Bank

Support for food/sundry items needed, manning the food bank facility on a rotating basis, etc.

Wesley Kitchen

Providing a hot meal of soup and bread for those in need every Thursday from 11:30 to 1:00.  Wesley Kitchen is free and open to anyone, regardless of age or income. We serve those who are hungry and/or in need of a good, hot meal.  The Wesley Kitchen is founded on the principles of John Wesley who taught:
"Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can."

Our connectional relationship through the United Methodist Annual Conference and local Disctrict organizations allows the pooling of resources from our church and others to positively impact those in need in our own conference, in the US, and across the world.

The Mountain Home Food Basket is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization founded to help those in need of food assistance. They are wholly supported by our loving and caring community through donations of food and funds supplied by local organizations, churches, companies, individuals and grants. They are also associated with The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.
