Christian Preschool
Chiildren ages 1 year to Pre-Kindergarten
Our Mission
Cross Light Christian Preschool endeavors to create a love for Jesus, a love for others, as well as a love for learning. Within a loving Christian environment, we provide a quality academic education for one to five year old children within our Twin Lakes community. We will assist parents in the nurturing of their child’s spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical growth and development.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy here at Cross Light Christian Preschool is to provide an environment where one to five year old children can assemble, work, learn, and play in an atmosphere predominated by love and sharing with others. This atmosphere of unwavering Christian love and trust will introduce school as a happy place outside the home.
We strive to help each child develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally through structured play instruction from a Christian teacher. Learning for children takes place when information is meaningful, and is in the context of their experiences and development. Therefore, children learn best when provided with a variety of stimulating experiences in which they may freely interact.
Our Early Childhood Education program is designed to support and extend young children's learning through direct experiences. We use a Christian based curriculum called Wonder-filled Weekdays which we supplement with additional activities emphasizing academics. Children learn most when actively engaged, so we provide a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.
We want to offer the families in our community unique progressive learning opportunities for their children. We have added two specialty classrooms inspired by the Reggio Amelia philosophy. These classrooms are designed to offer more intensified, area-specific, hands on learning that will allow children to explore and discover the world through all of their senses. We want learning to be an adventure! These new Specialty Classrooms are equipped with unique theme-related features and equipment. We now have an Art Studio where children’s artwork is always on display and children are free to express themselves creatively, in a variety of ways, with all types of media. We also have a library with a soft quiet atmosphere, where the children are surrounded by books and can develop a love of reading at an early age. And of course we cannot forget our new gymnasium where the children can safely romp and enjoy large motor activities rain or shine. All of this, together with a traditional classroom for structured academic learning will allow us to offer our community a state of the art, top of the line, truly unique program for their young children.
