Disaster 101 is an overview of how disaster response works. The structure of the United Methodist Disaster Response, training, teams, etc. It covers how we work with partners, both government and non-government; the importance of church and community involvement in preparation, response, and recovery; and the role of the district, the conference, UMCOR, and much more. This course is for everyone. It is 4 hours and split into two hours on two consecutive days. Registration is mandatory.
